BIO 48CRASH

Since 1998 this trio,singer-guitarplayer Fritz De Bock ,bass-player Pats Van Gucht and drummer Wim Vandamme,plays the songs ,written by frontman Fritz ,on festivals (Hesprock,D'joterock,Suikerrock..) and competitions(winner of Rockerellen and Demorock),in lots of youthclubs and cafés. In July 2002 Tom Maertens takes the place of Pats.

Their first demo-cd 'Sweet,soft and tasty' was recorded in march 2000 in 'De Studio' in Asse.With the openingstrack they won an edition of the Demopoll-contest on Studio Brussel.'Travis Bickle Blues' ,recorded in february 2002 in the studio of Luc Crabbe,frontman of Betty Goes Green and Telstar,was treat to some praising reviews

Forty8crash has been selected by a cultural commission to get support from Het Vlaamse Ministerie van Cultuur as ‘New Talent’ for two years,from 1/7/03 on.Recognized cultural organisations have to pay only half of the salary for 48Crash.The rest of the amount is payed by the ministery.More info on:

Roeland Vandemoortele, frontman of Wild Turkey, performed several times with 48Crash as second singer-guitarplayer and recorded two songs with them ,added to Travis Bickleblues as bonustracks.

Describe their music is a difficult task,but you can certainly discover different influences in their work(The Peppers,Buffalo Tom,Coldplay,The Sheila Divine...)
