Willem Hendrik BRUINSMA (b. 1804)

Willem Hendrik BRUINSMA (also known as BRUNSMA) was born in Den Haag on 3 Jan 1804, the son of Hendrik Bruinsma and Angenita van den Elsen. He was baptised the next day, 4 Jan 1804, in the Grote Kerk, Den Haag by ds. Van de Wijnpersse, witnessed by Willemina BRUINSMA. He became a dyer (verwer) and died in Den Haag some time before 1876.

Willem was married three times:

1: Joanna Elisabetha MEURE

Willem Hendrik Bruinsma's first marriage was in Den Haag on 10 Nov 1824 to Joanna Elisabetha MEURE, servant (dienstbode), born in Brielle in 1792. She was the daughter of Philippus Wilhelmus MEURE and Theresia TANGÉ. She was a resident of Den Haag, and died some time before 1839. She is also referred to in records as: Antonia Elisabeth MURE and Johanna Elisabeth MUURE(N).

2: Catharina Wilhelmina BECKHEM

Willem was married for a the second time in Den Haag on 4 Sep 1839 as the widower of Elisabeth Johanna MURE. Witnessed by his brother Dirk BRUINSMA, 29 years old, dyer (verwer), he married Catharina Wilhelmina BECKHEM. She was born in Den Haag in 1789, widow of Wilhelm COELAGE, daughter of Johannes BECKHEM and Johanna WEDEL, both deceased. This marriage was disolved by declaration of divorce by the court of Den Haag (Arr. Rechtbank) on 17 Sep 1850. There were no children by this marriage.

3: Jacoba van DIJK

Five months after his divorce, on 26 Feb 1851, Willem married for a third and last time to Jacoba van DIJK. She was a worker (werkster), born in Den Haag on 11 Mar 1813, daughter of Neeltje van DIJK, deceased. Jacoba died in Den Haag on 8 Nov 1891.
