september 2005: Hi everybody, the
belgian summer's turnin' into an Indian autumn (once again)
and this is a great-harvest- time to present you "Continental
Vibe live on stage" and on internet. We were lucky to
find Luc Vanlandschoote, ready and able to shoot some really
nice footage indoors at the "new dance basement",
at the CC De Branding in Middelkerke and outside in the beautiful
settings at the "Funk Forever Festival" in Juan-les-Pins,
France. Drummer Hans took an extra week at a french swimming
pool to edit the images and captured the flow of the "Vibe":
what you see is what you get. Great work Hans and Luc! The
sound is live-registered with the camera mike, no editing
or mixing there. Check
out the video here. Hope you enjoy it and spread the word
and book us for a warm groovy performance at your club, festival
or party.
august 2005: Treat yourself on a
funky holidaynight! You can see us groovin' totally live on
the 14th of August in café 'De Leute' in Oeren (near
Veurne), on the 18th of August in the 'Clapotis', the hottest
bar in De Panne (zeedijk). On the 4th of September we're closing
the Openingsweekend of the new culture temple 'De Branding'
in Middelkerke and on the 30th we'll all funk y'all up in
JH De Pit in Koksijde... Don't miss it, bring your friends
and their friends...see y'all there!!
march 2005: Spring is back and so
are we. We finished our gigs half February and since then
we have been working on new material. A single is slowly but
surely emerging from 'Le Maroc' basement-homestudio. A couple
of songs, which had their first try-out during gigs, will
be presented in demo-version to several producers. These are
exciting times...

okt 2004: For the second time, Continental
Vibe provided the music for a theatre play. This time, Jan
and David came up with some pretty cool stuff, ranging from
Wizard of Oz tunes to Ennio Morricone melancholy. It all fits
well into the play 'Fools', by Neil Simon. The play will be
performed at Ostend's most beautiful stage: De Illusie, on
October 15, 16, 17, 22 and 23 (20.15h).

may 2004: The new Continental Vibe
album 'Vanilla Changes' is finally available as of now for

mar 2004: Continental Vibe has unleashed
its grooves. Their try-out concert in 'De Leute' was pure
fun for both the band and the audience. Sofie proved to be
the fantastic front-woman the band needed, and Sammy Lee (flute,
percussion and keyboards) felt like a fish in the water on
the small stage. The jam was on. Pumpin' bass on a tight drumbeat,
funky guitar licks, and good vibes all around. Thx to everyone
that showed up and showed their appreciation. It was great!
nov 2003: Continental Vibe provides some music for the
theatre play 'Stanislavski's Chair', written by Guido Van
Meir. The piece was directed by Guido Vanloo and performed
several times for a sold out theatre by KVGO Oostende in the
course of december 2003.

applauded review on "Continental Vibe": "...continental
vibe has a vision that ninety percent of the other funkbands
lack... these guys should really make a soundtrack for a blaxploitation
movie. Spike Lee?"
