If you're reading this text you have either arrived upon this page by a mere coincidence, either you must be really interested in what's going on behind the scenes...

To explain about GVVSoft, I must first say what it is not. GVVSoft is not a real company. It's not even an organisation. It's just the name under which I publish my little programs, as I think it's more convenient to remember than my name (GVV are my initials and I think you can guess where the other part comes from).

Some words about me then.

I made my first steps at programming in 1985, on an Atari 600XL, some weird mix between a game console and a home computer, featuring 16K of RAM, to be programmed in BASIC. I was lucky enough to have a tape recorder attached to it (for saving and restoring programs) and a green (10 inch ?) screen, allowing me to continue whatever I was busy with when my parents wanted to watch TV.

A few years later I started programming in Pascal on (at school) an apple II and (at home) a PC-XT featuring a massive 12MHz clock speed ;-) and which, although it hasn't been turned on for, I think, several years, is still standing on a desk...

After spending quite some time not studying enough at the physics department of the local university, I started studying informatics and finally got a master degree in 2006.

I started work that same year at Artwork Systems (on Odystar: a native PDF pre-press workflow system) and got laid off in january 2009 as one person part of the 10% of personnel which had to go for "economical reasons".
