Development of a liquid rocket engine

Last update website 31/1/11

The Belgium rocket engine development group started in 1998 the hydrogen peroxide/petroleum project in order to create a full liquid amateur engine. The most important requirements are safety, low cost and simplicity.

Already in 1990 a preliminary attempt was made, but due to personal circumstances the project was on hold until 1998.

The idea to use H202 was not new and used before in rocket engines and power turbo pumps on vehicles like the ME163 fighter and the V2 rocket engine pumps, as well as the British Black Knight rocket. It was the genius of Prof. Helmunt  Walter who made it all possible.
