Angelina Jolie Drops Out of Wanted 2

Face 1

Wanted was way more fun than it had any right to be. So while I was looking forward to the sequel, there was always the lingering question of whether the madcap frenzy that made Wanted such a blast could be repeated and if it could, would that be the makings of a good popcorn movie or just lukewarm leftovers? It so happens that we′ll never find out, because Angelina Jolie has dropped out of Wanted 2 according to Vulture, which in turn inspired Universal to bury the project. But don′t fret too much: when the movie gods close a door, they open a window. Jolie has reportedly set her sights on Gravity, a space thriller from Children of Men director Alfonso Cuaron. Details on the project after the break. At one point Cuaron was said to be eying The Tourist, the political thriller starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.

Sigourney Weaver Returning for Avatar 2?

Face 2

Will Sigourney Weaver reprise her role as Dr. Grace Augustine in an Avatar sequel? The question might sound stupid to anyone who has seen the movie, but remember what happens when you assume... Sigourney Weaver appeared on the TV show "Le Grand Journal." The actress is in Paris this week to honor Harrison Ford during the Cesar Awards (the French equivalent of the Oscars). During her interview, Weaver was asked if she would be part of Avatar 2 and she made it clear that she has already talked about it with James Cameron, who is planning to include her in the sequel. But how is that possible? Anyone who has seen Avatar knows that Dr. Grace Augustine died from a fatal gun wound, and the attempt to transfer Grace from her dying human body into her unconscious avatar body with unsuccessful.

Michael Bay Testing 3D for Transformers 3

Face 2

Michael Bay has been vocally against the growing popularity of 3D films, at last year's theatrical exhibitors ShoWest convention making the very unpopular statement that "I think it might be a gimmick. " He added that he didn't know for sure, and that he was "looking forward to [James] Cameron's picture." And Avatar came, and became the biggest grossing film of all time -- that's what they call a game changer. We've heard that Paramount is pushing to film Transformers 3 in 3D, but will Bay budge? Bay appeared on Starz' "In the House" last night, where he talked about many things, including the possibility of seeing big giant robots on the big screen in 3D: "It's a process we're testing with some 'Transformers' scenes," he said.
