Artist Lore Eckelberry explores the world of African masks in a new series of paintings.

The strong personality of the great warriors of a tribe in SE Africa has been portrayed in an amazing combination of colors by painter Lore Eckelberry.

Los Angeles,CA (PRWEB Sep 3, 2006) September 1,2006--Artist Lore Eckelberry says: “I love the strong personality and attitude of these beautiful people, and to be able to interpret them in a bright and strong combination of colors gives it a totally new perspective.”

In the series of African masks use of color creates in the viewer a strong emotional response that comes out of the bold combination of color and expression.

Lore takes these African images and abstracts them from their traditional background and transforms them in a contemporary abstracted form that gives them a surreal quality of being.

Lore Eckelberry take the fundamental lines of the original images and renders them in a pure modern abstract form by pulling them out of their time and transforming them into a completely contemporary form of expression.

She is a contemporary artist located in Los Angeles, California. Lore uses several media to express her unique viewpoint of life. Her work is featured in several private collections throughout southern California, Germany, Hawaii and Mexico.
