Didier Claes specialises in the art of Central Africa. For more than a decade, up until 2001, he was frequent visitor to Africa, first to the Congo and then to many other corners of the continent. Since then, he has opened his gallery in the Sablon allowing him to definitively focus his attention on uncovering the top-quality objects to be found in grand collections. Didier Claes is a member of Belgium's chamber of experts and a regular participant in fair such as "les Grands Antiquaires"...

The gallery of 9 quai Malaquais has been dedicated to Tribal art for 40 years. Alain Bovis, who took over from Hélène and Philippe Leloup, organises major exhibitions in the gallery, such as “Bambara, Dogon, Senoufo” in 2005, “Tribute to Jacques Kerchache” and “Nigeria – Jacques Kerchache Collection” in 2006, and, from the 11th September 2007, “Arts Sacrés de Côte d’Ivoire”.
Alain Bovis selects his objects for their plastic beauty, with a preference for ancient and ritual art from Africa, an area par excellence of sculptural diversity and innovation.
