Treasures from the far-off shores of the Guinea Coast and other parts of Africa have recently washed up at the Yale University Art Gallery. At the revivified Louis Kahn building, a new permanent gallery devoted to the arts of Africa opens, putting Yale African Art at the head of the class among university art museums. Cameroon Art at QCC New exhibition Queensborough Community College unveiled a new art exhibit titled "A Cameroon World," featuring a wide array of art and artifacts from the small central African country.

Friends of Ethnic Art was founded in 1974 to provide a focus in the San Fransisco Bay Area for interest in the traditional arts of the Americas, Africa and Oceania.
