Congo-to-India THE first ever exhibition of African art from the Republic of Congo in India will open on December 18 at the National Gallery of Modern Art.
Seventy-two wooden and clay ritual objects ranging from the mid-18th and early 20th century have already made their way to Indian shores from Africa.

Irma-Stern-Museum The home created by Irma in South Africa is full of artifacts she collected on her numerous trips to Europe and various journeys in Africa.
The highlight of the African collection is the Buli stool, possibly acquired by the artist before 1935. Experts agree it was probably carved in the early 20th century by a master craftsman in the Congo, known as the Master of Buli.
