This books contains small images from all types of african art, maps and explanations on the use of them. If you must own one book I would say buy this one, it is very easy to put names on unidentified carving from whole africa with only this book. To get free shipping you must buy for more tha 25$, so you could also take the opportunity to buy it in a package together with "Masks of Black Africa"by Ladislas Seguy.
