Welcome to ‘Intermezzo’, a unique guesthouse where professionals of the technological companies around Leuven can ‘come home to’ after a busy working day.

‘Intermezzo’ was set up as guesthouse for foreign employees of Materialise that come to their headquarters for meetings and trainings ranging from a few days to a few months.  Materialise wants to share this guesthouse with other technology companies from the Leuven area.

‘Intermezzo’ is a house with a ‘history’ located in the street ‘Charles De Bériot’, a composer who lived in the 19th century, hence the name with a flair of music, but also emphasizing the oasis of peace and quiet, a welcome break after a busy day.

Apart from the superb location and yet quiet setting with spacious garden, we are a relatively small setting with some very nice accommodation to offer:

We are housing 6 studios with private kitchen facilities and 5 studios with common kitchen facilities, where it is comfortable to stay for a longer period and have a private retreat.  

On top ‘Intermezzo’ offers to all a large, well-equipped joint kitchen and living room to enjoy contact with colleagues, to relax and have a nice chat or a drink together on the south oriented terrace. In the living room, there is a computer available with free “turbo-speed “internet access. This living room with impressive fire place was once the living room of a Leuven professor in law and solicitor. At the same time, if looking for another challenge, in the old basement with Roman style vaulted ceiling, you can enjoy a small fitness-area, at your disposal, for free.

The historical building of ‘Intermezzo’ has been renovated and equipped with the latest ecological systems: we have invested a lot in solar panels, noise and temperature isolation, ventilation control, a condense heater using gas, and 100% green electricity to create a comfortable experience with respect for the environment.

The studios and rooms can be rented for days, weeks, or months.

To make your reservation, send an e-mail to intermezzo@materialise.com. Indicate the room and period you want, the name of the guest and the company that needs to be invoiced.

The studios with full kitchen are at numbers 1a, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10.
Studios have a kitchen area and a separate bathroom, satellite TV and internet.

The rooms are at number 1b, 2, 3, 4, and 8. All rooms have a separate bathroom, satellite TV, microwave, coffee machine and internet.
