Dear friends,

You are all invited to maybe the most informal air show in Flanders, at Overboelare, near Geraardsbergen. Our BAHA(AT)-member Dirk De Quick has done a great deal in organising this festival of old kites. At this moment, a beautiful collection of tail draggers will join us next weekend (19/20 August) : Piper Cubs, Super Cubs, SV-4’s, Pitts Specials, Stinson, Stearman, Scout Bellanca, … but also a Stinson Voyager, Yak 50 a Harvard and a gorgeous Polikarpov-biplane…

Also the Dutch Stichting Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Beaver, Stinson, Auster, Bellanca …) has confirmed its participation. In order to support the local Phoenix Glider Club there is BBQ, etc. etc. and of course the BAHA(AT) display, with participation of a re-enactment group Grossdeutschland which will use our B-24 “Achilles” for some animation – they were also present with us at the past weekend’s Wings & Wheels at Ursel, and scored a huge success with the audience.

AND … this Overboelare-meeting is FREE for the whole family !!!

Please also note that BAHA will be present next Saturday at the Open Door of Grimbergen a/f, also a nice and interesting gathering of planes and aviation enthusiasts.
