CHEVROLET BLAZER K5

This is a car I just bought between soup and potatoes as we use to say over here.

I mean with this that it was a: I came, I saw, I bought! kinda thing, all in all it took me

about 10 minutes to have the deal made.

As usual, one day I headed off to the junkyard for one or other piece I needed

for one of the cars.

There it was, and I was thinking "spare parts!!" so I took a quick look at the fenders and

doors I needed for the other Blazer and once I was convinced these parts where ok I

dashed inside, asked the price, liked the price! and just said "SOLD!! I'll be back tonight!"

Hell this car was cheaper then if I would have bought fenders and doors separately!

So when I picked up the little wife after work I just proclaimed "honey I bought a Blazer,

want to see?"

I had some more time to check it out now, and found out this car was in a damn good

condition!

And its a V8!!! GOOD!! four barrel carb and some nice other goodies.

Now why is this car in the junkyard? "I don't know" is the reply I get from the junkyard

owner," its just in, had no time to look at it."

So after a quick check we decide to start her up, DAMN this car makes some strange

noise! and what's wrong with that transmission? When you put a car in drive it should,

well DRIVE!

So we cut the engine and I'm taking a dive under it to look what could be wrong, to find

myself lying in a big puddle of transmission oil !! (I should look before I dive under things!)

Oh, that's why the trans is not working! the seal has blown! now what's the noise?

Ooeeh, I can turn this flywheel with my hands! converter bolts loose? Nope! plate broken?

YEP!! so this car is in the junkyard just because it has a leaking seal and a broken

flywheel!?! this is a steal!!

So no spare parts car this will be! this car will get restored!

I turn around to gently tell this news to the wife and... get overwhelmed with questions

from the lady! is it still good? can you restore it? wouldn't it be better to restore it?

can I have the other Blazer if you intend to restore this one? well? well? well!!!.

Hum..... now who is trying to convince who to keep it?
