PLYMOUTH DUSTER

1973

One day I needed some parts for the Blazer so here we go to a place

called American car import because this guy specializes in vans and

Blazers.

And there it is, just being taken of off the tow truck.

Now I knew nothing about this car, and since I have some spare time and have to wait a bit, lets take a closer look at it.

Hm PLYMOUTH is written on the grill, DUSTER on the fender

Haha! a Plymouth Duster! (like that explained everything to me at that time).

Damn that car is a rust bucket! well I'm not buying it that's for sure.

Late at night a friend pays us a visit and I tell him about the Duster being unloaded that afternoon when all of a sudden this friend starts to act weird! asking a ton of questions about the car.

So we decide to take the 10 minute drive to the place its still early! its only 11PM!

so armed with a flashlight, and leaving the house with the request to bail us out in case off........ (he! 11pm, 2 guys checking out a car with a flashlight!) off we go.

This friend bought the 1973 Duster the very next day.

And it stayed there for a couple of years.

Now being this car in his garage I had the time to see it a lot and started liking the thing! And that rust, well its only in a few places.

The engine is rusty but it runs.

Well this friend sold it to me after a couple of years because he restored his first car and I think he had enough of the restoration thing.

So now it sits in my garage waiting until its his time to get the restoration.

Now you might wonder what these pics are doing here?

These limited edition shirt are made by  Reed
