My name is Alain and yes I am Belgian. why I write in English? because most contacts I have are Americans, that's why!
All started when one day the old trusted French Renault "le car"started to demand to much from a financial point of view.
So we needed a new car and fast!
At that time we had a friend who was into Mustangs who knew where we could find a 1980 Buick Skylark. I have to be honest and tell ya that I was not interested in this car because in my view American cars where big gas guzzling monsters!
My girlfriend at that time and who became misses Roadmouse recently convinced me to "at least take a look at this thing."
What happened after that I don't know for sure but I think I have been brainwashed or something because there is no way in hell you could sell me an non American car anymore!
I just loved that thing! Sure it looked like something that supposed to be in a junkyard for ages already but I didn't care about the looks I got from the neighbors.
At least MY car started right up each winter morning while they never knew what the Japanese and other junk they drove would do.
(Oh I loved to see the faces of those neighbors when they saw me drive off while they were stranded with a dead battery)
That car was the first car I ever wrenched on myself. The year was 1996.
Present: well that car was the start of a collection of 9 now.
Now I am restoring each and every car I have to a better then new condition.
And that is the story I am going to show you here.
