Alex the drummer had the chance to meet Dave Briggs and Robin Murly on several live concerts and gigs.

By regular contact growing a close friendship and as reult a session in the studio recording a few songs for the Cd "Home Town Rockin' ".

The Alex Boogie Trio is a combination of experience and young talent who's playing the music we love ROCK 'N' ROLL

 

On guitar we have one of the best guitarplayers in the circuit "Dave Briggs".

Dave plays guitar and vocals in the band.He's played in various bands such as Red Beans and Rice (R'n'B band), The Flying Saucers (LP " Flying Tonight"), The Wild Angels, Shotgun and currently with the Avengers.He 's a sessionmusician on stage and in studio. He built up his own guitar style and you can hear influences of all his favourite guitarplayers such as Scotty Moore, Danny Gatton, James Burton, Chuck Berry.

 

On bass Robin Murly and lead vocals.The most energetic bassplayer in the business.He's also a very talented songwriter.He started with the Vikings and later with the Cruisers.He's also a founder member of Shotgun.He did a lots of live and studio work and crossed all over Europe.

Both carreers are based on the same line  playin' as bandmember or as sessionmusician. Dave and Robin play with Freddie Fingers Lee, Shotgun, Wild Angels (Bill Kingston), Screaming Lord Sutch, Sonny Burgess, Ray Campi, Johnny Legend, Janis Martin and Mac Curtis.

 

Alex Delrue is the youngest of the band.He started as jazz drummer in dance bands.Learn to play any kind of styles from the  waltz, latinmusic to boogie, swing etc.

In his record collection you'll find next to R'n'R also Country, Western Swing, R'n'B,Cajun, Zydeco, Boogie Woogie music.

He organised concerts for Matchbox,Freddie Fingers Lee,Shotgun and helpin' other organisers for contacts in the circuit.He toured also with these bands.Visits R'n'R clubs as Tennessee, Thunderbird ( find info on my website).

As a drummer he listen to Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Bernie Driesel, for the swing/jazzstyle. For Rock drummers Iain Paice, Ron Tutt, Paul Deakin(Mavericks), Eddy Bayers, Fred Young(Kentucky Headhunters), Jim Keltner.

   

 

     On live gigs plays the band Shotgun,Ravens material,own written songs and covers from artists we all love.

      A mixture of Rock and Roll,Rockabilly with a hard drivin' backbeat.
