We’re all born with one certainty
Every man has to die… one day
When we leave the path of the living
We enter the realm of death
On the other side of life
Our spirit or soul might live on
Behind the borders of death
Our dead eyes can stare
To the lands of the living
Those who died can eternally look
Into the womb of death
The lands of the living
Where pain and grief are common
Why on earth are we sticking to that life?
Why on earth can’t we all die?
To forget our sorrow, to forget our pain
And forget the moments of total happiness?
Maybe that’s what it’s all about - one realizes -
When we leave the path of the living
When we enter the realm of death
On the other side of life
Our spirit or soul might live on
Behind the borders of death
Our dead eyes can stare
To the lands of the living
To the realm of feelings |

Pathetic form of life
You sacrificed all
Skin-deep was your soul
A fragment of what had been
A splinter of what could have been
You sacrificed all for your higher cause
Superficial artificial life form
Nothing left behind of your self
Nothing left of your own nature
You forfeit all for your higher cause
Sect of secrets, sect of intolerance
Sheep, follower of conventions
Created with evil intentions
You gave up everything
Orphaned fool, receiver of nothing
Forever nameless in the shadows
Of your higher cause
Be forever soulskinned
Sectarian life code
Deceiver of humanity
Soul as sacrifice
Soul as gift
Soul as burden
Soulskinned |

I know for sure – he’s watching me
Day and night – I’ve got to hide
I know for sure – he’s watching me
Nevertheless, I’ve got to remain calm
Haunted am I – by my Dreams
I feel his cold breath
Chilling my spine once more
I feel his dark eyes
See them in every corner
I feel his clammy hands
Ready to grasp me
Paranoia
The day my watchfulness fails
The lurking death will know
And take my mortal life
I can not live this life – no more |

All hope fades
All hope dies
All hope lost
Doomed to dwell
The mysteries of the death
Doomed to dwell
A graveless life
No hope – no life
All lost
In the shadows of time
I last – as last
Doomed to dwell
The moonlike land
Doomed to dwell
The blackened earth
Under an ashen sun |

~ For an Angel Trilogy ~
|
Repent, and weep with me under the bleak moon.
An Angel has been cast on earth
Dressed in sugar flavoured innocence
She shall be the death of me.
In her eyes
Distant memories flicker
Stroboscopic flashes of regret.
Man has clipped her wings
So she is doomed to dwell
In the basement of heaven
On the attic of hell.
She shan’t be my saviour
I cannot bear to look her in the eyes
Shrouded in the fog of war
I must face my demise.
An Angel has been cast on earth
She shall be the death of me.
Didst thou ever notice
With every killing, an angel has been sent?
A whole existence spent praising thy God
but always with one wing dipped in blood
Wouldst thou ever really want to see an angel?
An Angel has been cast on earth
Dressed in sugar flavoured innocence
She shall be the death of me. |

He walks alone in enchanted lands
Through valleys of loneliness
On mountain paths of concrete isolation
Cloaked in sadness
He searches for
The meaning of a meaningless quest
A grail he does not seek
For he believes not in a cup of life
He’s seeking answers
And all that watch him
slowly run out of life,
Know that he shall never find
The means to pay the price
Of the treasure most precious of them all
Cloaked in sadness
He searches for
The meaning of a meaningless quest
Sitting down to take a brief rest
He is confronted with his thoughts
He closes his eyes and sighs in despair
An Angel takes the light from his eyes
He now knows the answers
They are lost again
He paid his price. |

In night ebony coloured
Yet with warm and subtle breeze
A salted tear descends my cheek
As a ship bares thee away from me
I stand but a lonely man
On the shores of the Grey Havens
In ages of old
Elves of high kindred departed from here
Though forgotten in the present
Or so it seems
Even fairer creatures still walked the earth till now
As the last of them sails away
I stand but a lonely man
On the shores of the Grey Havens
The end of my grief
Shall stay long hidden from my eyes
And though thou hast bid me not to despair
I have to forsake thee once again
In my mortal heart
The light is been flooded
By salted waves
As I stand but a lonely man
On the shores of the Grey Havens
My Angel
Carrying the images of
Ashend mortal dreams
In her eyes that once were my own
Is now but a mere dot at the horizon
And though the weight of this burden
Almost sinks her ship
My heart isn’t feeling any lighter
As I stand but a lonely man
On the shores of the Grey Havens
And I bow my head
As I am but a mourner
In the upcoming morning light
On the shores of the Grey Havens |
