The ‘Golden Finger Plane’ award was presented for the second time on Saturday the 19th of June 2010 at the Castle D’Ursel in Hingene. This prize was created by the CMB to give a boost to promising, talented builders. CBM couples its quality guaranty to a builder who shows exceptional skills and build quality, and a strong specialist and/or multi-disciplinary approach. In addition, the winner must contribute to the goal of the CMB – spreading the knowledge of musical instrument making.
 

 

The winner of this prize is Ralph Bonte. 
Ralph is a former student at the CMB. He is an excellent and multi-faceted builder who has a command of the full spectrum of steel-string guitars. In addition he is also a real ambassador for the work of the CMB, who actively promotes its goals.
