Origin of the song for action, a first step...

This song was born out of a dream my father had in the first days of februrary 2007, and tells about an image of a boy paddling with his mother. At first they are walking at the coastline, like we know the coast till today. At the same time there are strange things happening with and on our planet Earth. They've found a polar bear in the jungle, oerang-oetangs in Brussels city... on the run for what happened to be their natural biotope. A while ago I saw on television an image of a polar bear floating away one an iceberg. And even oerang-oetangs, with their cosy long arms are arriving in Brussels, totally confused, and make a new living place there. But even that item will disappear out of the newsbroadcast... When the boy is a teenager, his mother takes his hand again, when they are walking by De Reien (Brugges). The coastline came already as far as there. She is musing about their 'sunken' pieces of land and wants to draw the attention of her son to that... In the last strophe the water has come up already to the Zavel (Brussels), as one of the results of the global warming-period we are experiencing now... so it is a good time for oerang-oetangs to paddle aslo. Are they allowed to do strange things also, as people do so many strange things with our Mother Earth ? At the same time, what we here today in the media is alarming for mankind, and it may be that many people are frightened for all things coming to us through the media.

Artists for Mother Earth was started by initiative of a little musician in the little Flemish-speaking part of a little country Belgium, as little fishes do swim also. The origin is not important. Only the target (actions for Mother Earth) and working together is of importance !
