Alek
was the puppy we knew we would never part with from the moment she was
born, just one of a number of superb puppies in our September 24th,
2001 “Art” litter.
Sired
by Eng.Ch. Nevedith Justa Jesta out of Boxing Helena‘s Yman, Alek
is already demonstrating many of the same excellent qualities we
hoped to get by breeding to Jesta.
We
are delighted to see how Jesta has so strongly stamped his type
on Alek and her littermates – a type seen in other notable
Jesta sons and daughters in England, in Canada and around the world, and
a type that has obviously worked exceedingly well with our foundation
bloodline from Nadine Savoie’s du Chawia kennel.
No
wonder, Alek made a great debut in the showrings. Best Whippet Puppy at Gent and BOB puppy
and BIS2 Puppy at the Belgian Sighthound Club Centenary on May 12th.
BIS
puppie at the sighthound specialty in Luxembourg, and Best puppie all breeds at the show in Leuven with an entry
over 200 puppies!
Alek at 17 months,winning
her first CACIB, handled
by Mrs Savoie N. from "du Chawia" kennels in France In
2003, Alek went to Nadine Savoie's Du Chawia kennel in France to
produce her first litter. Going
back to her Chawia roots, she was bred to Secret Love Du Chawia. While
she was in France, she won her first CAC's and CACIB's under well known
breed specialists, such as Jackie Bourdin and Jean Jacques Dupas. At
her first show after her return to Belgium, she won another CAC /
CACIB and the Winner title in Amsterdam, under Rita Van Mechelen.
