Knowing
that this would be the dam’s last litter, I had a difficult time deciding which puppy to
keep from my 23 September 2002 by Ch. Rumer Glenn du
Manoir de la Grenouillere (Rumer) out of my small, mostly
white, Canadian bitch, Avalonia Mostly Ghostly (Lucy).
In
the end I trusted my instincts and chose Luna,
the puppy I fell in love with when she was only weeks old.
She has not disappointed me.
Luna
most closely resembles her mother Lucy and her American
bred grandmother Amanda (Cdn.Ch. Sporting Fields
Perfection) in overall appearance, especially in terms of
colouring and flash.
But
overall I find her to be a very pleasing composite of both
her sire, Rumer, and his mostly English lines, as well as
her mother’s English connections through her sire and
grandsire.
I
am hopeful that the solid English lines on both sides of
her pedigree will fill Luna out as she grows up and
matures, and allow this very pretty little bitch to build
on the show successes of the past of her mother, and
father.
