UPDATE June  2007

NEW ! Read about my second large FUE procedure with dr. Ilter

1,5 year after my first hairtransplant (strip) the continued hair loss of 'natural' hairs has progressed to a point where I needed further hair redistributed. (me before any transplants)

Besides adding more density to the front I am looking for coverage on the top area.  After reading a lot about FUE I decided to go for a meggassesion with Dr. Jones in Oakville Canada.

My intention of publishing this web site is to document my personal experience for  those that still have a lot of questions about hairtransplantation using FUE.

FUE stands for Follicle Unit Extraction. This "new" procedure enables skilled doctors to remove single grafts at a time, without having to take an entire strip from the back of the head.  FUE has nothing to do with implanting the grafts into the recipient area, it just deals with the way grafts are extracted from the donor area.

It is my firm believe that one day FUE will become the standard procedure, just like microscopic dissection of a strip has become the preferred technique at present.

I will talk about pro and cons of both procedures that I have undergone personally.
