Casa Particular Trinidad.
Located about 106 kilometers south of Santa Clara and about 90 km from Cienfuegos,
Trinidad is the best preserved colonial town of Cuba. Founded in 1514 by Diego Velázquez with the name of Villa De la Santísima Trinidad. Cortés set out from here for Mexico in 1518. Trinidad remained haven for smugglers until the late 18th century. After the slave revolt in Haiti caused French planters to flee to Cuba Trinidad became a center of sugar and coffee production. Trinidad has been declared by the UNESCO 1988 a World Heritage Site.
