Short CV of Wim Beazar (°May 22nd, 1961)

After finishing his studies of Industrial Engineer at the KAHO in Gent, Wim Beazar worked 2 year for a Belgian software-house. In 1985, he started his own business, together with his brother Guido. The company, named Compex, had a nice growth during 16 years. During thuis time, Compex received several awards like the Quality Award (1992), Enterprise of the Year (1998) and the Kraft Foods North America Supplier Excellence Award in 1999. In 2001, Guido and Wim sold their company to Siemens, a worldwide leader in industrial software and automation. After a 2 year period of transferring the business to the Siemens management, Wim decided to to execute a latent dream which was still there since his youth... investing in social responsibility. This commitment, combined with the business expertise makes Chokran a unique vehicle to invest in young entrepreneurs and in better relations between politics, business and the social partners.
