Important emerging trends in our world of information and communication are “ignorance” and “indifference” or “apathy”.

We live in one of the best places on earth and still we are desperately seeking for more wealth and luxury. On top of that, we see the poor as threats and discomfort. It is unpleasant to be confronted with the needs of the poor and helpless.

We are often confronted with the negative aspects of poverty like unemployment, immigration, intolerance.

The time has come to change our attitude and to realize that the battle for the wellness of poor and underprivileged is an opportunity for ourselves.

It is my conviction that the entrepreneurs and managers of the Northern, rich world can improve the living conditions of the poor while creating opportunities for their own companies.

Companies can encapsulate a social responsible behaviour in their corporate culture and values.

·                 Creating jobs for underprivileged is not only helping the poor, but is also making your organization and your employees mentally richer. It is fun to work for a company who cares...

·                 Taking responsibility for the entire supply chain and  investigating how the value chain is composed and not tolerating one single link which does not conform to the highest ethical, social or ecological standards is only doing business as we ought to do...

Therefore, Chokran invests time and effort in projects which bring entrepreneurs in contact with the Social Interest Groups (like NGO’s) and the political world. These three stakeholders can change the world and the destiny of the underprivileged.

Including Social Responsibility  in a company’s strategy is not a cost... It is an investment in your people and they pay back with loyalty, inegrity, motivation, teamspirit and respect.
