I have a broad
interest in all aspects of technology, science
and history, but especially in electronics,
cryptology and programming. I also have a special
interest in classical cryptology, old cipher
machines and the world of Signals Intelligence,
both technically and historically, and in WW2 and
Cold War history.
In
2004, I decided to share my passion for
cryptology and old cipher machines by creating
this website and a weblog. My goal is to get people interested in
the intriguing world of cryptography and code
breaking, and to show how a seemingly boring
subject can be a truly fascinating journey into
history. I hope to inspire the reader to look
beyond the well-known WW2 and Cold War stories
and discover the importance of intelligence work,
and how it influenced history. The number of
visitors and the positive feedback encourages me
to keep this site up to date, and expand it
whenever my free time allows me. I appreciate all
feedback and additional information to improve
this site. You can do this by sending me a mail and I'm always pleased when people
write something in my guestbook.
