Auto – Rétro 2012
Dates
and duration: The 32th International exchange and sales
fair for vehicles, motorcycles and parts dating from before 1970
takes place at the Beursgebouw in Brugge on 21 and 22 January
2012.
The exchange fair is open to the public from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.
The organisers reserve the right to change either the date or
the time of opening or closing, and to decide on the prolongation
or the early closure of the fair, without any compensation for
the participants.

car park “ ‘t Zand”
Parking for participants: FREE at the back of the railway station
Allotment
of stands: By putting the space for the stands at the
disposal of the exhibitors, the organisers will have fulfilled
all their obligations. It is forbidden to sublease the allotted
stand space to third parties. The organisers are not responsible
for any damage or theft. The exhibitors have the obligation to
put a piece of cardboard or paper under each vehicle (to prevent
oil stains – participants are to bring cardboard or paper
themselves).
Insurance:
The organisers decline all responsibility for theft and damage
to the stand, the material or the exhibited parts, caused by third
parties or by unforeseen circumstances of any kind. Each participant
has the obligation to disconnect the battery(-ies) of his vehicle(s)
and to have a fire extinguisher at his stand. It is forbidden
to start vehicles during the opening hours of the exhibition.
The participants are responsible for any accidents that may occur
at their stand. The participants are also responsible for all
damage of any kind caused to other participants or to materials
of the buildings of the lessor.
Moreover, the organisers do not bear any responsibility, in particular
the responsibility referred to in articles 1382 et seq. of the
Belgian Civil Code. The participants are responsible for any accidents
or damage occurring during the construction or the demolition
of the stand, even for the persons who are employed by them for
the occasion or who work under their authority.
The exhibitors undertake to take out an insurance policy with
the officially recognised insurance company against all risks,
with waiver of right of recourse against the organisers and the
persons responsible for the fair.
Contribution
towards the costs:
- Stand for cars 50 €
- Motorcycles 8 €
- Stand for parts (1 stand = 2 metres, tables included) 25 €/stand
- Stand for parts against a wall (1 stand = 2 metres, tables included)
40 €/stand
- Electricity connection (participants are to bring extension
lead) 25 €
- Vehicles dating from before 1925 FREE
- Motorcycles dating from before 1970 FREE
- Club stand (except for the sale of club articles, no other lucrative
activities are allowed at the stand) FREE
Terms
of payment: The price for the stand must be paid in advance
into account number 380-0230678-83 at the ING bank in the name
of the non-profit association AUTO RETRO. Your stand will only
be reserved for you after receipt of payment. In order to avoid
high bank charges, foreign exhibitors should send a cheque, which
will be returned to them at the fair against payment in cash.

Arrivals
and departures: All materials and vehicles must arrive
on Friday, 20 January, between 2.00 pm and 9.00 pm. They must
be removed on Sunday, 22 January, between 6.30 pm and 9.00 pm
or on Monday morning between 9.00 am and noon. All materials and
vehicles that are still present afterwards will be moved by the
organisers to a place of their choice, at the expense and risk
of the registered participant.
Waste:
All waste must be removed by the exhibitors. It must be possible
to clean the floor by mechanic sweeping. Any other action that
must be undertaken to clean the floor is at the expense of the
exhibitor concerned. Each participant is therefore responsible
for his stand during the two days of the fair and must leave it
in its original state on Sunday evening.
Special
arrangements: If the organisation of the exchange fair
is made impossible or if its realisation or execution is hindered,
either entirely or partially, for its total duration or part of
it, on account of unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond the
control of the organisers, the participants/exhibitors cannot
claim any compensation for loss of profit or reimbursement of
amounts already paid. Moreover, the organisers are authorised
to alter the regulations with respect to the above-mentioned risks.
Free
tickets: Each registered participant whose contribution
for participation is smaller than or equals 50 € receives
1 exhibitor’s ticket. Exhibitors whose contribution exceeds
50 € receive 2 exhibitor’s tickets. The tickets should
be exchanged for a special exhibitor’s stamp at the entrance.
The ticket is therefore reserved for strict personal use, and
any fraud or attempted fraud will be penalised accordingly.
Disputes:
Participation in the fair implies that the exhibitor
agrees with the regulations. Only the courts that have jurisdiction
for the district of Brugge (Bruges) can settle disputes, if any.
