GOLGOTHA

Biography

GOLGOTHA was a young quintet from Wallonia that I know very little about. They were said to be influenced by BLACK SABBATH, JETHRO TULL and RUSH. Their first sign of life was a 3-song demo in 1983. By early 1984 GOLGOTHA's line-up included François Lemeire (vocals), Pascal Borbé (guitar), Daniel Chartry (bass), Ivan Thonnard (drums) and Jean Marie Loozen (keyboards). With this line-up they entered the Maison Rose Studio in Wangenies March 9-11th 1984, to record what would turn out to be their one and only vinyl release. And which is nowadays a hard to find collector's item ... Produced by Rose M-S, and with both songs being written by Pascal, it was mixed March 17-18th at the same studio. Whatever may have happened after this, I have no clue ...
