Washtenaw Community College - If you live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and you don’t want to attend one of the larger, four-year universities in the area, then you should definitely take a look at Washtenaw Community College. This college has been working to allow people in the area to get great educations for the past thirty-five years. If you’d like to get a good education without leaving the area or paying thousands of dollars in tuition, then Washtenaw is the best option for you. This school has a low tuition rate, and is near to where you live so you won’t have to pay anything extra as far as rent goes.
Washtenaw Community College is an accredited community college, so if you go here for classes, you’ll be earning credits that are easily transferable to other colleges in the area. Don’t worry about transferring, it’ll be easy to do once you get your associate’s degree from Washtenaw. Also, not only is the whole school accredited, but so are most of the different individual programs. Therefore, you’ll be able to get accredited degrees in some of the other programs that are offered here. For instance, you can get an accredited nursing AAS degree, or a degree in Pharmacy Technology.
If you’re planning on applying to Washtenaw Community College, you should make sure that you’re at least eighteen, and that you have the equivalent of a high school education. There are several ways that you can go about proving that – either by actually graduating from a traditional high school, or by taking a test that shows you know what you need to know. However, there are a few exceptions. If you want to take college classes while you’re still in high school, there is a program for high school students. The advantage of this is that you can earn college credit while you’re still in high school, for a much cheaper price than if you had to pay for tuition.
Once you’ve determined that you’re going to attend Washtenaw Community College, you should get in touch with the academic advising center. This advising center will help you to decide what classes you need to take in order to earn your degree on time.
