Conestoga College - The area in which Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is located is one of the fastest growing in Canada.
Midwestern Ontario, Canada’s Technology Triangle, is economically diverse and prosperous and home to forward-looking businesses and industries with global reputations for innovation and excellence. The region also has strong rural traditions and a vibrant agricultural economy steeped in traditional values.
A recent study shows that Conestoga has provided education or training to at least 40 per cent of the local labour force and has a value to the local economy of at least $1.3 billion annually.
Conestoga College believes in practical education, with the goal of contributing to economic growth and prosperity.
For six consecutive years, Conestoga College has earned top overall ranking among Ontario colleges on the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) surveys, which measure graduate employment rates and satisfaction levels, and employer and student satisfaction.
In February 2003, Conestoga College was one of three Ontario colleges elevated to the new status of an Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, which means it can offer as many as 30 baccalaureate-level applied degree programs.
Each year, Conestoga College graduates more than 3,000 new professionals in areas such as Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Business, Health Sciences, Community Services, Media/Communications Studies and the Skilled Trades.
In addition, Conestoga College has full-time degree, diploma and certificate programs; part-time programs; postgraduate, apprenticeship and preparatory studies; online courses; part-time evening and weekend courses, and customized training for business and industry.
Conestoga College - with students from South American, and Africa on campus alongside Canadians, Europeans and those from the USA - also has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and is the site for selected programs offered by Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, the University of Windsor and Brock University.
