Algonquin college: ottawa’s educational pride

Algonquin College - Algonquin College is an English-language, post-secondary institution serving Canada’s multi-cultural and bilingual National Capital Region. The Algonquin College’s mission is "to provide high quality, career-oriented education and training, which respond to the needs of learners, to the community, and to society".

Located in Ottawa, Canada’s National city, Algonquin College offers four-year baccalaureate degree programs, two-three year diploma programs and one-year post-graduate certificates with a focus on applied studies. Programs offer field work and co-op work placements. Student learning is supported by a team of experts who are committed to student success. With the focus on applied studies, nine out of ten graduates are hired!

Internationally, Algonquin College has several partnerships with institutions in other countries to transfer expertise through technical assistance and training programs.

Algonquin College continues to provide programs that are consistent with today’s industries, along with Bachelor Degrees in Applied Studies, Collaborative Degrees, and Articulation Agreements.

Since 1968, Algonquin College has designed distance education courses that emphasize academic excellence and flexibility.

As technology continues to play an important role in today’s job market, Algonquin College has integrated technology into all aspects of its operations and continues to be one of Ontario’s leading institutions of Advanced Technology.

Today, Algonquin College has assumed a leadership role in distance learning. Current offerings include five full diploma programs, thirty-six certificate programs and over 500 courses in on-line and print formats. They attract more than 5,000 enrolments per year in off-campus learning activities.

Whether students are upgrading their skills, working on a diploma, or studying for personal development, continuing to learn will prepare them for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Algonquin College’s off-Campus Learning provides the opportunity to acquire valuable new skills from the comfort and convenience of home or office, allowing students to continue personal and professional commitments.
