Fullerton College - Since offering its first classes in 1913, Fullerton College in the North Orange County College District has grown to become one of the finest and most successful community colleges in the nation.
The foundation of Fullerton College ’s success is the uniquely talented and dedicated faculty, administrators and staff who share a commitment to high academic standards, comprehensive opportunities for students and individual attention to student needs.
Fullerton College offers a comprehensive array of academic programs with ninety majors leading to the A.A. or A.S. degree in both academic and vocational subjects as well as sixty-eight programs leading to vocational certificates.
Fullerton College enjoys one of the highest transfer rates in the state sending graduates to the University of California, California State University campuses and other institutions of higher education.
In addition to excellent programs and services, Fullerton College - with its eighty-three acre campus - offers a truly collegiate environment. The college’s 20,000 students enjoy numerous extra curricular activities in student government, the campus newspaper, championship intercollegiate athletics, performance groups in theatre and music, cultural groups, media production in radio and television broadcasting, to name a few.
Fullerton College also has exciting and fully accredit distance leaning programs with tuition delivered wholly or partially through Internet, cable TV or a combination of both, making for use of email, multimedia, voice mail, virtual office hours, chat rooms, message boards, listservs, and online quizzes and exams. Some courses, though, may require attendance of on-campus meetings as scheduled by the instructor.
Fullerton College has an interesting ethnic mix with 0,69% American Indian. African Americans make up 3.37%, 3.37% are African American, 14.77% are Asian, 3.12% Filipino, 30.68% Hispanic, 0.51% Pacific Islander, 1.86% Other Non-White, and 41.04% White. There are 1,123 employees including forty-three managers, 285 classified, 315 full-time faculty, and 480 part-time faculty.
