High School Year Books - For a good number of people, the high school years are remembered fondly. (Of course, there are instances in which a person wants to forget high school all together for one reason or another. But, again, for most people, they look back on their days as young people with at least a decent share of fond memories.)
High school year books provide wonderful means by which a person can look back on his or her youth years later. High school year books provide uniquely wonderful encapsulations of time spent with friends in a setting that will not be repeated at any other time in life.
Of course, all high school year books contain the poised photos of the student body. These pictures many times are looked back upon years later with bemusement. Hair styles and clothing designs obviously change making everyone looking back on their formal high school head short feeling a bit hooky.
In addition to the posed photos, most high school year books are chalk full of candid shots. In the long run it is likely the candid shots that are most appreciated by a former student looking back on his or her high school career years later.
The candid shots catch students at interesting moments --from sporting events to school dances, candid shots commemorate and preserve the special moments in a student’s high school life.
Another feature on many high school year books are predictions for the future. These blurbs, usually attached to the formal face shot photo, set forth a whimsical prediction as to where fellow students think their chums where land in adult life. Of course, most of these “predictions” are done in fun and jest. But, there is always an attempt to base them on at least a kernel of truth. And, sometimes these high school year books make predictions that are prophetic.
