Teaching Interview Questions - When a potential teacher graduates from college and steps out into the real world to pursue a career in teaching; he or she must successfully pass a round of teaching interview questions. While these questions will normally vary, they are designed to help faculty get an idea of your teaching knowledge and what experience you have.
Those who have taken the interview questions in the past will tell you that you have to be prepared. Some of the questions will be tricky; and require a lot of thought in order to give an appropriate answer. Most of the questions with the interview are designed to make you dig deep within yourself and see exactly what you’re made of.
When you participate in teaching interview questions, your interview will ask you a series of questions. How you answer each question will have a major impact on your career as a teacher. The best thing to do is to answer each question with the goal of impression the individual who gave you your job interview.
Some examples of questions that you may be faced with include:
1. What made you decide to become a teacher?
2. Some people think that you should demand respect; what do you think?
3. Tell me a little about yourself.
4. What education do you have?
5. Do you consider yourself a leader or a follower?
Keep in mind that these are just sample questions and you may not even be asked them with your teaching interview questions. The average number of questions will vary, and could be anywhere from 50 – 100 questions! The more prepared you are for the interview, the better off you’ll be.
When the time comes for your interview, you should take some much needed time and study everything that you possibly can. Most of the questions are about you, which mean that you should have a clear head.
By taking time to study and digging deep within yourself, you shouldn’t have a problem with teaching interview questions. With the questions being directed towards your career as a teacher; you should answer them from the heart.
