Georgia Southern University - Georgia Southern University is a great college located in southern Georgia that offers majors to any students who can apply and get in. In fact, if you’re looking for a big university, this is definitely the one to go to. It’s the largest university in southern Georgia – so you can be relatively sure that whatever it is that you want to study is offered.
Georgia Southern University is arranged in several different colleges and under each is several different departments. These colleges are the College of Business Administration, the College of Education, the College of Graduate Studies, and the College of Health and Human Services as well as the Colleges of Information Technology, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and Science and Technology. Different colleges within the university will give different degrees. This is pretty obvious when you’re looking at the graduate school, since this college will obviously give out graduate degrees. However, one thing you should keep in mind is that while the liberal arts college will give you a Bachelor of Arts, the sciences and technology college will give you a Bachelor of Science degree.
This university also has, as you might guess, a lot of fairly successful intercollegiate athletic teams. Whether you’re interested in football, basketball, soccer, baseball or even tennis, you can find a team to either join or watch while you’re attending. By checking on the main university website, you can find information about when the different teams play so that you don’t have to worry about missing a single game.
If you’re looking to join Georgia Southern University, there are a few very important decisions that you should make – and for most programs of study, what you want to major in is not one of them! First, you should decide whether or not you want to apply to the honors program. Students who are looking for more of a challenge should definitely look into this program.
After you apply and are accepted, the other things you should consider are whether or not you want to live in the on campus housing. If you’re new to a university, it’s recommended that you live on campus – since you’ll be able to better take advantage of Georgia Southern University’s various support lines on campus.
