Scottsdale Community College - If you live in Scottsdale, Arizona, then Scottsdale Community College might be the right place for you. This community college offers all of the great classes that you should expect from a community college – and all for much cheaper than you’d have to pay if you were going to go to a regular university. In fact, if you’re intending to go to a major university (like the University of Arizona) it’s recommended that you do your first two years of college study at a college like Scottsdale. That way, you’ll get the classes out of your way and you’ll be saving thousands of dollars.
A lot of people worry that the Scottsdale Community College tuition will still be too expensive for them. They shouldn’t worry too much. First of all, tuition is very low for students who are residents of the state of Arizona. Second, there are a lot of opportunities for financial aid, even if you’re going to a community college. Before you enroll, you should look and see what scholarships are available. Often, you’ll be able to get scholarships or grants from either the federal government, or from the state of Arizona. Sparing that, you may also be able to get money directly from financial aid offered by Scottsdale.
Like most community colleges, this one mostly offers two year degree programs, but you can also get two year programs that are intended to get you ready for transfer to a major university. If you’re worried about feeling lost in a huge college, that also makes this a great opportunity for you – in the slightly smaller settings, it’s more likely that you’ll feel more at home in your community college.
Scottsdale Community College is also set up to be very convenient to students. You can look up classes and find out about them online. You can also check out the course schedules to see which times and days your classes are going to be offered by the college. Finally, you can also check your own records, check for classes that you’re taking online, and register for the semester all without going to campus at all!
