Santa Fe Community College - If you live in Gainesville, Florida, then you should look into the Santa Fe Community College. Instead of going to another state and needing to move away from home, this community college will allow you to get the college education you want without needing to travel far away from home. You will also be able to save thousands of dollars on tuition payments since the community college is a lot cheaper than a regular four-year university.
Most people go to Santa Fe Community College because they can get the same feeling that most students get from going to a university just by staying close to home and going to the community college. You can even get involved with the University of Florida, since you’re in the same city. Therefore, instead of feeling like you’re trapped in a small town, you’ll know that you’re definitely in a college town. There are classes that are designed to help you get a job and start in a career of your choice, of course, but there are also a lot of classes that are designed to help you get into a four-year university once you’re done with Santa Fe. These classes are essentially the equivalent of the first two years of a four-year university curriculum – but for a lot cheaper.
Santa Fe Community College also has a faculty full of people who are experienced in their fields – and who are still interested in teaching you. These professors work hard to have time for one-on-one time with the students. This is helpful, because it is a lot harder to do well at college and get good grades if you’re not communicating with your professors.
Most of the classes are for Associates of Arts programs. These programs help you to get ready for the last two years of a four-year university program – or they could be just the step you need to start you off on your new career. Whether you’re looking to go to a university or you’re trying to get a job, these accredited degrees are just what you need. You’ll also stand a better chance of getting into a Florida state public university than you would if you just took some time off of school.
