This version has a function which shows some important information about the drive.
If you have any problems with CD Speed or with your drive run this function and send the output to me.
Or even if you don't have any problems you can send the output to me. This may help in the future development of CD Speed.

The CD Speed page was getting way too big so I divided it into smaller pieces.

Teac 532E banned from the DAE list.
The DAE performance seems to be different with each drive. Some people can get perfect DAE at 20x from it, but most people can't even get decent DAE at a maximum 4x which makes a benchmark useless with this drive..

14/7/98: Version 0.71 is out! This version can display speeds up to 42x. I also fixed a bug which could cause I/O errors on many audio CD's.
13/7/98: First 40x drive tested!
Tomorrow a new version will be released.
The most important improvement is the larger grid. The maximum speed will
be 42x instead of 32x.

7/6/98: I had several mails from people asking me why v0.7 is so slow. You can make it go faster by decreasing the blocksize. A value of 5 (c:\cdspeed 5 at DOS prompt) will give the same results as v0.5.

necessary. It might be very usefull if you have problems doing perfect DAE.
