Erik Wauters' Modelpages
This is my workbench, I have TV and Stereo for entertainment ;-)
Note: I have a small paintbooth made from a cardboard box and a bathroom vent, saves money and thus you can buy more kits !!
I have a Revell Omega compressor, it was expensive but it is worth every penny,
it is silent and has a build in water trap and adjustable pressure regulator
For airbrush I use a Badger 200 single action with medium tip for basic work,
and a Badger 360 double action with rotating head (this is the most handy thing you can imagine) for small work.
These are the most expensive but invaluable tools,
it makes life so much more fun when you can depend on decent gear.
I swear by Tamiya masking tape, considered best by many modellers.
Most of the time I use a small Plasplugs cutter (similar as X-acto but easier to hold)
and a Knipex side cutter (this is the electronics cutter that gives very fine cuts close to the sprue)
I have between 400 and 500 kits, a small part of the collection in the wall closet,
the rest are packed away in boxes in the basement,
it's crazy but you have to support the economy ;-)
