Top 5 - Greatest Disappointment - Personal Picks

End of the year, time to look back. In a year that of course saw the September 11 tragedy, but also saw the death of tens of thousands of children just by poverty and starvation. Before this becomes a political statement, let's move on to what our staff thought were the Best Games of 2001! A year that saw ATI and NVidia battle for the graphics master's crown, a year in which Windows XP was released, but also unfortunately 2001 was the year of major postponements: WarCraft 3, Unreal 2, Warrior Kings, Mafia,... All great titles that saw their release dates move to 2002. Luckily 2001 saw some excellent titles too, and our Top 5 will largely indicate them, I think.

I'd like to say thanks to all our readers and our staff, and best wishes for 2002! May it bring us happiness, joy, success, gameplay, frags, no ping at all, and DX8 generation T&L graphics boards...
