The FOUNDATION and the AIM of the EuWDS
The EuWDS was founded in 1999 by a group of European women dermatologists with common interests. The association was named "European Women's Dermatologic Society" or "EuWDS".
The association is a non-profit organisation with a scientific goal and aims at pursuing the following objectives:
- to encourage and to support the role and the contribution of women to European dermatology
- to reflect the cultural diversity of the European countries
- to promote friendship
- to enhance the level of dermatology in Europe
These goals are pursued by organising the following activities:
- annual general assembly at the EADV meeting
- guest lectures at the general assembly
- newsletter
- scholarships
- supporting trainees in dermatology
