The confection of the Latin- and Jazz-backings is in essence a proces of reverse engeneering.

The idea is to construct backing patterns.

The patterns are extracted from existing MIDI -files. Sources are :
Using  Onyx Arranger  I extract the necessary patterns and reassemble them into MIDI-sequences with the appropriate chord changes, that can be found in Real Books, for example.

The backing is ready by now, and if a finishing touch is necessary, I use Anvil Studio.

Finally, the Midi sequences are injected into Tabledit, on top of which I add the melody,  and edit the lead sheets.
