'Albert-Wiske' - No. 5858 (Vandenbussche 2005) Semi-double. Upright. COROLLA is quarter flared with turned under wavy petal margins; opens magenta (63B), light rose (58D) base; matures rose (63C); 17mm (11/16") long x 14mm (9/16") wide. SEPALS are half down, tips recurved; magenta (58B) upper surface; dark rose (58C) lower surface; 28mm (1 1/8") long x 8mm (5/16") wide. TUBE is dark rose (55A); long, medium thickness; 26mm (1") long x 6mm (1/4") wide. STAMENS extend 4mm (3/16") beyond the corolla; light rose (58D) filaments; magenta (59D) anthers. PISTIL extends 23mm (15/16") below the corolla; dark rose (58C) style; reddish purple (60D) stigma. BUD is elongated. FOLIAGE: medium green (139C) upper surface; medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 78mm (3 1/16") long x 47mm (1 7/8") wide, ovate shaped, serrulated edges, obtuse tips and cordate bases. Veins are plum (185B); stems are plum (185B) & medium green (138B); branches are plum (185C) & medium green (138B). PARENTAGE: 'Triphylla Hybrid' x 'Annabel'. Meise 9-18-04. Small upright. Makes good upright or standard. Prefers full sun, warm climate. Best bloom & foliage color in bright light. Tested three years in Mol, Belgium. Meise 9-18-04. Distinguished by flower color. |
