'Zannekin Nicolaas' - No. 6736 (Vandenbussche) Single. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flared, turned under smooth petal margins; opens dark rose (54A); matures rose (52A) base; matures rose (52B); 17mm (5/8") long x 15mm (9/16") wide. SEPALS: half down, tips reflexed; red (53D) & dark rose (54B) tipped olive green (152D) upper surface; rose (52B) tipped olive green (152D) lower surface; 24mm (15/16") long x 8mm (5/16") wide. TUBE: dark rose (54A); long, medium width; 48mm (1 7/8") long x 7mm (1/4") wide. STAMENTS do not extend beyond the corolla; dark rose (54B) filaments; light yellow (1C) anthers. PISTIL does not extends beyond the corolla; rose (55B) style; pale yellow (2D) stigma. BUD is oblong. FOLIAGE is medium green (137B) upper surface; medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 45mm (1 3/4") long x 32mm (1 1/4") wide, ovate shaped, serrulate edges, acute tips rounded bases. Veins are olive green (152D), stems are olive green (152D) & plum (185B); branches are plum (185B) & medium green (138B). PARENTAGE: 'Lechlade Rocket' x 'Tubingen 2001'. Small upright. Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light, cool climate. Best bloom & foliage color in filtered light. Tested 4 years in Londerzeel, Belgium. Distinguised by bloom color combination.
