| Alright, let's make this thing official ! It took us a while but we found a new singer after all ! A big welcome to Greg (ex Devoured) !! It's funny that some people mailed us about him looking for a death/thrash band while he was already trying out with us. Anyway, we're going through the hard part right now to get some lyrics on the last 4 songs and have them sound like the previous lyrics. Expect a stronger, more brutal and more aggressive GG to be on stage very soon !! D-Day is set for 10 December this year at the Wreck Your Neck II Fest in Wervik with Aborted, Panchrysia and others ! I've also put the Ghoulbook back online and i hope all the crap that happened won't start again ! |

| Well, we're having more problems finding a new vocalist (lyrics would help i guess) then we did finding a new drummer (GG logic 101). We were getting a lil sick of our search for a new vocalist (asking everybody we met "kunde gij zinge ?") so we've started building a new singer (need to find stronger glue though) and hopefully we'll be able to give him/her/it a name in the coming weeks ! |

| And more bad news : Founder Sven decided to quit the band too. He doesn't feel at home anymore in the band after all that happened the last few weeks and feels that the band that he once started is dead. We wish him all the luck in the world too with his further life/plans. And thus we are looking for a new singer urgently. |

| We're very proud and glad to announce that our search for a drummer is already over !! The new addition to the Ghoulcrew is Kevin De Leener (ex Suhrim, Keltgar, Gurthang, Thorax Serpenti). | Well, for once we have to announce some pretty bad news. Grinning Ghoul drummer and co-founder Les calls it quits after over 10 years of madness. We wish him all the luck in the world with his other projects ! But WE ARE NOT DEAD !!! Grinning Ghoul is therefore URGENTLY looking for a new drummer. If you think you’ve got the skills (Thrash/Death Metal with examples being Testament, At The Gates, Slayer, and so on) contacts us as soon as possible !! I finally managed to do some updates around here, added the pictures from our gig in Tilburg and in Mechelen which were taken by Anneke. Other then that, we wish everybody a happy new year and thank everybody who was at our gigs. We had a blast ! Next gig should be the 7th of January at Frontfest. |

| Ahhhhhh, the gig in the Czech Republic kicked ass ! Great people, bands .. organisation was fine, dude behind the P.A. was drunk as hell so he pretty much fucked up the sound of every band (even Kataklysm). Got to know some really crazy people over there (Dissection Corpse), and we were asked to come back in 2005 to do a few more gigs. And another gig has been confirmed for October 31 in the Batcave (013) in Tilburg with Flesh Made Sin who will present their new cd ! |

| Been a while again since i posted something here (yeah yeah, i'm lazy .. fuck off !). Anyway, the 2nd Deathmetal.be compilation is out and we're on it. I must say i'm very impressed with the Belgian bands on it and the production of most songs. Belgian underground bands used to have a real bad production on their demos (including ourselves) but that changed bigtime. You can order it from the Deathmetal.be site for 5 euro shipping included or buy it from us at one of our gigs. Speaking of gigs, in exactly one week we'll be on the road to the Czech Republic. | Well, the gig for Bart Kerremans last night went great. We didn't know what to think about playing on a memoriam fest but it turned out just fine. We wanna thank everybody who showed up, the organization, the family and friends of Bart. At some points it got pretty emotional and we hope that Bart could see and hear the whole thing from up there ! And to the fucker that ran Bart over, payback's a bitch, what goes around comes around. We will never forget !! |

| Damnit, we've got some really bad news about last saturday too. A young guy (17 years old) called Bart Kerremans got hit by a car on his way back from our gig in Kappele op den Bos and didn't survive. Turns out it's the guy that spent like 3/4 of our gig on the stage going wild. We spent a few hours talking to him after the gig and he turned out to be a great guy. We're really shocked by this news and we wanna give the family and friends our deepest condolences ! Our gig next week in Houthalen - Oost will be in memoriam of Bart !! Rest in peace man, wherever u are now ! |

| Had a total blast playing at Den Doetsjè last night (or was it early today ??). For as far as i know (mor wie bennekik ?) the gig got recorded on disc and if the quality is any good we'll put some live songs online ! | Some more news from the GG front : The peeps over at Deathmetal.be put us up in their merchandising section so to everybody outside of Belgium who want to get hold of our new demo this is the perfect solution ! They sell the cd for 8 euro or dollars and that's postpaid included worldwide ! Just go HERE and fill in the form with your personal details, then select our cd from the first dropdown list and hit the "Get payment info by mail" tab. After they checked if it's still in stock, they'll send u an email explaining how to pay and stuff. We also added some new reviews from ZwareMetalen.com and Brutalism on the Press page. | OK, we got some new samples up for u motherfuckers out there ! Every song from Coming of War has been ripped to 1 minute samples in 128 kbps quality (not quite cd quality but close enough). We made 100 cds to start with but we're not even a month past the cd release and about 75 cds gone already !! | WTF was that ?? Last night was for sure one of the best gigs we ever did if not the best (and we own that to everybody who was there and TRASHED around !). I have no clue how many people showed up but the place was pretty much packed up ! We want to thank everybody who showed up and big thanx to Vermin and Flesh Made Sin (damn guys, ya did it again !!!). We've sold 23 copies for so far i know last night (Thanx Tessa ;-)), not bad huh ? The reactions were awesome ! Thanx to everybody who came, i hope everyone had a blast (from what i saw that shouldn't be a prob). Pics of the gig should come in this week and who knows, maybe a first review of Coming of War ?!? |

| Well, we're almost there ! Tomorrow is the release party of Coming of War. I'm really curious about the reactions and reviews we'll get for the cd. The gig will be at Cafe Prins Kardinaal in Lier and will start at 8pm. Income will be 5 euro and the demo will cost 5 euro also. Vermin (NL - Death Metal) should start at about 9pm so be there ! We plan on having some serious partying there so if u don't come u'll miss out ! Cya there. |

| Alright, did some serious updating around here. Updated the Pics page with new pics from the recordings and from our gig in Nijlen. Renewed the reviews page which is called Press now, rearranged shit in there as it was getting crazy. As for the new cd, it's ready !! But *evil grin*, we won't sell it just yet ! The release party is scheduled for April 12th 2003 and it'll be available from then and only then (even bribing us won't help) although we'll start sending it around for promotion sooner to labels, zines and all that shit. The gig will be with 2 Holland bands : Vermin (Death Metal) and Flesh Made Sin (Thrash Metal - These guys fucking rule !). More info on the gig will follow somewhere this weekend. |

| Wow, that was one crazy month ! The recordings went well and i have to say that Harrow Studios fucking rocks ! Big thanx to Marc over at Harrow for guiding us through it and giving us some ideas and stuff. The mixing was done last saturday and we had one hell of an adventure to come back from Holland (didn't we Les ?!?) with my crappy car lol and too much fucking snow ! Anyway, the final master of the cd should arrive here somewhere this week i hope. The presentation gig isn't set yet but we're working on it. Next i wanna thank everybody who showed up at De Dolle Maagd at Nijlen last friday for our gig. U guys fucking rocked ! Haven't seen that much response from the audience in a while. |

| Well, seems like we passed our big test nicely. Last night was just fucking awesome and it seems like everyone had a blast including us. We got loads of great reactions afterwards and it seems that Belgium is ready for the new Grinning Ghoul ! I think i saw about 3-4 peeps taking pictures and even someone who recorded everything on camera so i guess we'll have new pictures and shit to finally put on the site very soon. Thanx to everybody who showed up .. to those who weren't there : Too bad, it's your loss fuckers ! But u'll get another chance to see us live one time or another although nothing is set at the moment. We're gonna concentrate on the recordings now which are for end January. |

| Alright, here we go again ya fuckers !! We're back and we're gonna kick your asses until ya'll scream for your mommy's :) I know we sent the word out that we split up a few months back but we decided to get back together although there are some changes. First of all, our latest member Ivan (keyboards) is gone and we want to thank him for trying new stuff out and experimenting to try to get our old music to a new level (wich didn't work sadly). Next, there's our other guitar player, Mattijs, who's also gone. He now plays with the crazy guys of Self Inflicted (respect !!) and it seems like they can use someone with a nutty guitar playing style like Mattijs so we wish u fools all the best and cya on stage soon. We're now working on new songs (4th one in the making as we speak) and i must admit that our style changed a little (my musical inspiration changed too) but i'm not gonna go there yet, u'll just have to check us out on stage if u're curious :) Metal Pat and I did also alot of tweaking to our sound and according to reactions we had on an unofficial gig in Mechelen a month or so back, it seems like peeps hear what we're playing (ain't that nice for a change ?) and were having a ball (Suhrim ?). The spirit of the band changed alot too since on that same gig in Mechelen i had the feeling we were standing there like one band and not like 5 (4 now) individuals doing their stuff and i don't recall having that feeling for a long time ago, if ever. Anyway, we're gonna pick back up with the Trash 'till Death tour after the summer, so if u wanna see and hear what we do now, just check us out ... U shouldn't be dissapointed :) |
