REAGAN YOUTH (USA)

Legendary NYC punkrock/hardcore act founded in 1980 by Dave Rubinstein (Dave Insurgent) and his friend and guitarist Paul Bakija in Queens. Their name is a wordplay on “Hitler Youth”, a criticism on Ronald Reagan, in office at the time of the band’s conception. The band quickly became one of the leading names of hardcore punk, but disbanded in 1989. THE BEASTIE BOYS and RANCID, among many other significant successful punkrock and alternative rock bands have cited REAGAN YOUTH as an influence.After a loooong break, they picked up the thread in 2006, and now they will be playing Ieperfest!!!
