About us

Jeroen Colpaert

I started flying kites at the age of 7 and building at the age of 12. Sewing wasn't a big issue, I learned the skills from my mother, a cloth making instructor. Kiting was a multi-sport event for me as I practiced single, dual and quadline kiting. After some minor accidents during powerkiting I decided to focus on single line kite design. The creative aspect became more important through the years, especially when I met my lovely wife :p
During the years I also experimented in creating websites related to my passion. This is the latest result. I hope you enjoy it.

Katrien Waegneer

About ten years ago I introduced my wife to "my kiteworld". She became very interested in the creation and building process and what started off as small projects developed soon into some amazing kite creations. Her background in visual arts and lots of creative hobbies had a great influence on our latest kitedesigns. As a real amateur photographer, she also took most of the pictures on this site (and many more) during our festival visits and other kitedays. She also designed and build our in2kites workshop.

Gaston

In June 2007 we got our golden retriever pup, named Gaston. Nearly 9 Weeks old, we took him on our holiday at the Fano kite festival in Denmark. He learned to get along with all those kites around him and developed his own kitepassion, lying down on all those fabric bundles. As we finished off our orange rotor he fell in love with the orange fabric, so we had to make him some lovely kite fabric pillows to spend his lazy hours :)
