Nodashi covers the northwestern horn of Chibaken(Chiba prefecture). The city is 103,54 square kilometers big and has 150.000 inhabitants. Nodashi is surrounded by the river Tone (Tonegawa) in the East,by the river Edo (Edogawa) in the West and by the Tone-channel in the South. Nodashi is primarily known because of the soysauce-factory,Kikkoman, near the trainstation of Nodashi. 

The citysymbol for Nodashi is  which stands for friendship, harmony and unity.
The citytree is keyaki (zelkova tree), the citybird(shi no tori) is a lark  and the cityflower (shi no hana) the azalea.

The Jinenkan Honbu has its residence in the south of Nodashi.
