[Why I made this site] One of the goals of this site, dear visitor, is to offer you some moments of beauty and diversion.

[Limited warranty] Please keep in mind this site doesn't claim to be a complete reference on the places Wieske and I visited. I'm just another guy and far from an expert in traveling, nor am I a professional photographer. I just want to describe the places we saw and how we felt about them.

[Internals] I thoroughly tested this site with Internet Explorer™ +5 and +6, Netscape Navigator™ +7, Mozilla™ +1.7 and Opera™ +7.5. It was sometimes a bit tricky to get it displayed well in all four browsers but it seems I succeeded. I also tested at the following resolutions : 800x600px, 1024x768px and 1280x1024px. Furthermore I checked it with the following color depths : 16 bit, 24 bit and 32 bit. It displayed well under all these circumstances. Unfortunately I cannot save those people using a resolution of 640x480px and 8 bit color depth. I feel sorry for them.

[A critical note on the web] The way I see it, the Internet today is increasingly falling prey to commercial greed and disrespect of human values. This website intends to be a counterbalance towards this evolution, and even offer some antidote. Here you can find beauty and distraction free of charge. I look at it as my personal way of resistance towards the naking commercial infarct.
 
[No annoyances] This site is free of annoying techniques because I don't like them and because I pay for my Internet domain and hosting. This site will remain free to visit and enjoy in the future. I won't charge for anything here. However I will be glad to accept small payments as a token of appreciation.

[Photographs] Most of the photographs I used on this site are my very own. So now and then I have used pictures from other photographers, mostly of interiors where photographing was disallowed. Where applicable I have given credit to the originating photographer/editor in the caption of the photo.
